I am a RYT-500, in process of my IAYT-accredited yoga therapy certification, as well as NASM Certified Personal Trainer that brings a lifetime of yoga experience. I am of Indian descent and grew up practicing asanas with my dad in the family living room. After years of extreme sports like CrossFit and long distance running, I found my way back to yoga and now love to teach active, challenging power and vinyasa flows. I’m also certified in Restorative, Yin, Senior Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Aerial Yoga, with coursework in meditation techniques and trauma-informed yoga.
I am a firm believer in the idea that fitness needs to be both well-rounded and all-encompassing to be effective. In other words, some light stretching three times a week often won't cut it - just like all cardio and no strength won't cut it either! I am constantly looking for my next physical challenge and love to bring that intensity to both my yoga practice and my yoga teaching.
